In this installment, I’m going to show you how to create a Photo DVD using the free to try Photo DVD Creator which is available from http://www.photodvdcreator.com/. So let’s get started !
Step 1- Getting the Software
- Download and Install
- Launch the Program
Start -> All Programs -> Photo DVD Creator -> Photo DVD Creator. If you are using a trial version the first window that opens will remind you of that. You just need to click Later button to the extreme right
Step 2 - Edit Albums & Photos
- Create a new Project - click on the create new project button and make sure you Save you project before you continue any further.
- Create Albums - Add Album -> Add Directory or Add Album -> Add Pictures from the menu and pictures from given directories(multiple pictures can be selected by holding the Control key down while you click on the image).
Individual photos can be added to the current active album by clicking on Add Photo in the toolbar. - Add Music to Albums - Slideshow without background music is like trying to create omelette without eggs. Photo DVD Creator allows you to add background music to your slideshow to your albums, Select the Album you want to add music to, then click on Music in the Toolbar. In the dialog box that opens you can browse to the music folder and select the song(s) you want played along with your pictures as shown below.
- Add Effects, Text and Settings - Slide effects, picture editing etc
The Effects button from the toolbar launches a screen similar to the one below where you can apply transition effects to your slides. Effects can be applied to indivudla slide or on all photos in a given album.You can retouch or adjust color levels of a given photo by clicking on the Adjust button.ss with the photo selected. This allows you to Rotate, Flip, Color Balance or Brightness/Contrast the photo.
Once you are happy with the albums, transitions and music; it’s not time to create menus for your DVD.
